I am trying to find Scot Ads online or in its original printed format but the only trace my search has revealed is a reference to the ubiquitous facebook, the favourite companion of the semi-literate slobs who are addicted to their ironically-named smartphones, speak with grunting sounds and consider it an achievement if they can stand upright without their knuckles fragging on the ground, so if this is the only way I can now access Scot Ads, I will no longer be using what was once a highly satisfactory medium for my requirements.

My advice to Scot Ads, if indeed it still exists, is: ditch the poisonous "social" media that is facebook. It is dangerous, and I know. I lived in a nasty village called Portknockie where they decidedly do not like incomers, or outsiders as they prefer to say, as it better expresses their hostility. This cesspit of inbreeds has a facebook group which they used for a hate campaign against me and my family. Turning to the local councillor was useless; she would not even condemn the violence we were subjected to. Understandable: your first loyalty is to those from whose ranks you sprang. The very word 'villagers' evokes the old Frankenstein films that always started with a bunch of thugs plotting to march on the castle with flaming torches. Before you start getting ideas, Portknockians, and plan to come after me clutching your little penlights, don't bother. We are no longer around to receive your vitriol, but on second thoughts, do try anyway. The local sheep will be grateful for the break.

So, Scot Ads, take heed. You can do better than be associated with facebook and its bigoted devotees..
